Hi-Gear received national certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise

Hi-Gear Products, Inc., a Massachusetts based manufacturer and worldwide distributor of chemical specialty products, received national certification as a Women's Business Enterprise by the Center for Women & Enterprise, a regional certifying partner of Women's Business Enterprise National Council.

WBENC's national standard of certification, implemented by the Center for Women & Enterprise in Boston, is a meticulous process including an in-depth examination of the business and a site inspection.  The certification process is designed to confirm the business is at least 51% owned, operated and controlled by a woman or women.

With a steadfast commitment to community stewardship and working toward a more sustainable future, Hi-Gear has always believed in giving back to the local community by promoting responsible manufacturing via the use of green energy and by reducing the use of harmful chemicals.

As a woman-owned business leader in a highly competitive and traditionally male dominated industry, Hi-Gear also brings a distinct perspective to the corporate leadership; "We are extremely proud of the commitment we have made to support the next generation of women trailblazers. We consider it a great honor and responsibility to help create real opportunities for the growth and development of future women leaders.  Promoting women throughout our organization and beyond is one of the most gratifying aspects of our position, and being part of the WBENC network is a helpful resource in this important endeavor."

The Women's Business Enterprise National Council is the nation' s largest third party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women in the United States.  WBENC is a resource for the more than 700 US companies and government agencies that rely on WBENC's certification as an integral part of their supplier diversity programs.
